When owner and chef Kelem Lemu opened Shagga Restaurant in 2009, she aimed to serve the Hyattsville community with an authentic experience of Ethiopian cuisine using traditional ingredients — over 15 years later, Shagga proudly continues that mission.

Our authentic Ethiopian food features vegetarian, vegan, meat, poultry, and fish options to cater to a wide variety of diets without sacrificing taste or quality.
